Grants

2010 grant applications are now being accepted. Instructions and the grant application are below.

To be considered for a 2010 grant, organizations must:

Have IRS 501(c)(3) staus
Be located in the Metro Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area (including Northern Virginia)
Have revenue of less than $2 million

If you are not certain your organization meets these critria, please contact BHT's grant chair, John Redmond, at jredmo2@verizon.net or 443-421-9091.

Completed applications and all supporting materials must be returned to grants@brotherhelpthyself.org no later than July 30 at 5 p.m. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted.

All applicants are required to attend a mandatory grant hearing on either Sept. 25 or 26 between noon-6 p.m. at the Brother, Help Thyself offices in the Dignity Center of Washington, 781 8th Street SE, Washington, DC 20003 or on Oct. 2 between noon-4 p.m. at the Metropolitan Community Church, 401 W. Monument Street, Baltimore, Md. 21201.

Grants will be distributed at a grant award reception and ceremony on Jan. 29, 2011, in Baltimore. In case of snow, the reception and ceremony wil be held on Feb. 5, 2011, in Baltimore.
