Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association (ASGRA)

The Atlantic States Gay Rodeo Association (ASGRA) is a 501(c)4, charitable and social organization whose primary purpose is to promote the sport of rodeo and foster country and western lifestyles in the gay and lesbian community. ASGRA members enjoy the fellowship of numerous social, recreational and educational activities.

Chesapeake Bay Bears

C.O.M.M.A.N.D. MC (Corps of Marylanders Making a Noticeable Difference)

The purpose of COMMAND MC is to promote pride in the Leather Community, personally and publicly; to bring about an image of respect, responsibility and fellowship toward the leather community; and to support our community financially and actively whenever possible. COMMAND MC primarily serves the LGBT community of the Maryland area.

District of Columbia Bear Club

The District of Columbia Bear Club (DCBC) was created to promote fellowship among bears, cubs, levi/leather and other diverse members of the District of Columbia Gay/Lesbian Community. In addition, DCBC seeks to promote better inter-club relations with local, regional, national and international bear, Levi/leather communities and to encourage a positive public image in the larger global community.

Joining Our Board

BHT's Board of Directors is comprised of both member clubs (who designate their representative to our board from within their membership) and elected members unaffiliated with our member clubs. Both types of members of equal privileges on our board. 

​Do you or your club want to join Brother, Help Thyself's Board of Directors, or want to learn more about us? Monthly board meetings are open meetings that occur at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month, except July, at Dignity Washington, 721 8th Street, SE on Barracks Row in Washington, DC. on Barrack's Row.  Our meetings average an hour; but can go shorter or longer depending on any given evening's agenda.  Apart from our meetings, board members might be asked to attend various community events to represent BHT or assist with BHT-sponsored fundraising event planning.
